Immersive Dining & 3D Audio Launch | BBC Studios
A multi-sensory experiential launch designed to let audiences taste, hear, and see the world simultaneously. To introduce Seven Worlds, One Planet, the ambition was to move beyond a traditional premiere and create an environment where the idea of “seven worlds” could be experienced through every sense. The solution became an immersive dining event where visuals, sound, and cuisine worked together as one narrative system, transporting guests across continents without leaving the room.

Creative direction spanned storytelling, visual structure, and audio development, guiding a cross-disciplinary team of designers, editors, and producers. Each continent became a chapter expressed through curated footage, environmental visuals, and themed dishes that aligned with the atmosphere and biodiversity of the region, allowing guests to feel fully immersed in the world of the series rather than simply observing it.

3D spatial audio soundscapes for all continents were developed using music stems and natural sound recordings from the BBC archive, designed to work in tandem with live performances from Hans Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers Music to achieve precise spatial balance within the venue. The result introduced a sonic layer that allowed guests to sense movement, scale, and environmental depth in real time, deepening immersion without overpowering the visual experience.

The impact extended well beyond the live event. The Africa soundscape was later acquired by Spotify for 3D streaming, transforming a one-night experiential moment into a lasting digital asset. The launch received international recognition, including a Clio Entertainment Silver Award and a Promax Global Excellence Gold Award, reinforcing how experiential storytelling can move fluidly between physical space, broadcast culture, and digital platforms
